Watched
two good DVDs this weekend. Shade and Touching the
Void. Shade is semi-predictable but the card manipulations
performed in the opening sequence were awesome! I tried to get into
card manipulation
a few years back and practiced for months but couldn't get it down.
My hands weren't big enough. ARGHH!
Touching the Void is this incredible story of these
two mountain climbers who almost didn't make it back down from Siula
Grande in Peru. What one of the climbers had to go through to get
back down was unbelievable. You must watch!

Whoa, I am actually updating something! Allen Voivod
is nagging the crap out of me to update this thing so I must abide.
Anywho, I really am redesigning this site so that it is cleaner
and less gawdy. But since I have been working on the new design,
memories of the good times I had building this one keep popping
up. This is the first website I ever built and I put a lot of time
and effort into it with the learning curve and all. I am kind of
sad to see this old one go. Bleh. Progress moves forward.
There is one thing that I have changed that will make
my life much easier when it comes to updating, I have started using
a PHP photo gallery instead of manually making photo albums. You
can click on the Photos link to the left or you can point
your browser to either of the following:

I put up the pictures of our Summer vacation in Turkey. They need
to be adjusted and so forth but that is going to take some time.
In the meanwhile, here they are:

I know, I know. You never come here anymore because
I never update. Well, I am working on a redesign so that is my excuse.
In the meantime, watch these video clips for the COOLEST FUCKING
THING I HAVE EVER SEEN. Asians own you all!

My
Uncle Tuan just sent me this picture he found from my childhood.
HAHAHAH. Look how Pimp little Vo is! The sky blue suit, the black
gloss shoes, and the camera--especially the camera. If I still had
that camera, I would be wearing it as an accessory today.
Oh, and the one in the funny hat is my sister Linda.
The cute little girl is my cousin Ly. This must have been taken
around Vietnamese New Year. Don't know how old I was, maybe 9 or
10?
Go ahead, laugh all you want. That is why I put it
up.

Damn, I suck with the updates. So here is a big one.
LOTS of pictures to see...

I
know you will all laugh at me, but I recently watched Halloween:
Resurrection and thought it to be enjoyable. You actually want
these idiots to die! Now don't get me wrong, it is not a great movie.
In fact, some of it is so plain stupid that you have to laugh out
loud. It is not as good as Halloween:
H2O but then again, I like LL Cool J better than Busta Rhymes
anyway. I mean, how can you not prefer someone who always licks
his lips and wears one pant leg rolled up like a retard?

 Everyone
raved about Monster's
Inc. Yes, it was a great movie and it looked phenomenal on my
system. I don't think I have ever seen a better picture from a DVD.
But does anyone ever talk about Ice
Age? Ice
Age rules. The picture is every bit as good as Monster's Inc.
and the sound mix is actually better. In fact, Ice
Age made me laugh so hard, I swear a little pee came out!

The
trailer for Reign
of Fire made me want to drop everything I was doing and rush
out to the theaters and watch it. Fortunately, I did not. Why 'fortunately',
you ask? Because this movie kicks ass and I was able to watch it
on my kick-ass system, which is better
than most theaters to which I have been.
Reign
of Fire takes place in a future where dragons rule the Earth
and mankind is their prey. What makes this movie so good, is that
the dragons take a second seat to the story and character development.
The dragons are mostly eye-candy, and what eye-candy it is! Awesome
action sequences, super-realistic dragons, and great acting make
Reign of Fire a pure popcorn-flick I would watch again.
On
another note, I would recommend that everyone go out and buy Splinter
Cell for the Xbox immediately. If you don't have an Xbox, go
out and buy one just so that you can play Splinter Cell. Of course,
Xbox
Live is totally cool and I have been playing lots of Ghost
Recon with other fools around the world, but Splinter
Cell is the best game I have played in a long time.

Kristen just sent THIS
to me. It rules!

Kristen and I just got back from France on Wednesday. We are still
a bit jetlagged on Thursday and so decide to go saltwater fishing;
it is her first time. Of course, she then proceeds to catch the
biggest frickin' halibut anyone on the boat has ever seen and wins
us the jackpot! A 22 pound halibut. Holy shit man. 22 pounds!
